Another year, another early exit for the Toronto Maple Leafs. This time, they didn’t even technically make the first round of the NHL Playoffs.
After what was one of the most thrilling games in recent Leafs history, the Buds came out flat against the Jackets in Game 5 and were unable to solve Joonas Korpisalo. As has been the case for the last 50+ years, the Leafs once again became the centre of jokes, chirps, and general laughability.
